About Us
Deborah Briggs took ownership of Brigadoon Equestrian Center in July of 2005. Since then she has focused on facility enhancements and property upgrades to make Brigadoon a safe, clean, professional environment allowing the horse owner peace of mind that their equine asset is in the best environment available in Buck’s County.
Deborah has owned and trained horses since she was ten years old. Since childhood she has lived in the country with her horses on-site. Attending to the horses’ needs and upkeep has been a part of her daily life for decades. Deborah showed for ten years as part of the Regional and National Appaloosa circuit achieving, Reserve National Grand Champion on her beloved Mr. B. Additionally, she has raised and trained many foals from birth to maturity, molding their personalities and performance capabilities.
Deborah is also a registered nurse. Her clinical focus was in emergency medicine which has assisted her in being much attuned to her horse’s health and well-being….. being able to apply those assessment and clinical skills when needed. Her health care background has also inbred a mindset aimed at bringing consist practices around the barn, such as, handling the horses, feeding regimes and facility upkeep/safety that supports an optimal environment for the rider and their horse.
